Memories by David Tate:

Ann Mayer Heselwood
March 26, 1913 - July 15, 2017

Ann was born in German speaking Switzerland, the daughter of the late Stephen and Marie (Schar) Mayer. Ann became an American citizen in 1953 and deeply loved Pennsylvania, the city of Bethlehem, Lehigh County and her final years in New Tripoli, with her first husband, David Tate, whom she reunited with in 2002.

Ann lived a highly cultured life enriched with opera, literature and fine arts, but she was an outdoors woman, riding horses, skiing, swimming and truly an Alpinst returning to Switzerland to climb mountains.

Ann took her health seriously and was fit and healthy until the last 4 months of her life and was 104 when she passed away. With her Swiss training, she was a teacher during her early years but retired after 22 years from Bethlehem Steel Research Dept.

Ann leaves a loving dog and friendships that have lasted as long as seventy years, as well as her former husband David Tate, whom she lived with in New Tripoli.
