If you or someone you care about is in need of grief support, we invite you to review our grief resources. Naturally, if you have any questions about what you can expect during the days, weeks, and months following loss, we're available by phone, by email or in person.  We can also provide you with information regarding local grief support groups both formal and informal.

James Funeral Home and Cremation Service, is the successor  to the former Snyder, Hinkle & Lunsford Funeral Home.  Snyder Hinkle & Lunsford Funeral Home, was forced to close due to the sudden passing of  the owner, John Lunsford.  John was a well loved and dedicated funeral director in the Bethlehem community  and was the director  of the Funeral Service Education Program at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem.   John's dedication to the community and college, as well as the families he served as a funeral director will always be remembered.   

Harlan Hinkle, was probably the best well known of the Snyder Hinkle Funeral Home Firm.   Harlan, was well known in the community as a caring dedicated funeral director.  He never turned away a family in need and always ensured that the families he served were treated with the utmost respect and dignity.   He is the main person responsible for the long history and success of the firm and is the inspiration for where the words of our logo    "Reverence, Dignity and Respect Always" come from.

Louis James, is the owner of James Funeral Home and Cremation Service.   He is a licensed funeral director with over 20 years experience in the field and is very active in the Bethlehem and greater Lehigh Valley Community.  You can read more about Lou under the Staff section of our website.

James Funeral Home and Cremation Service,  serves families  and individuals, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, or place of birth, sex, gender,  sexual orientation, disability, marital status, age, use of a guide or support animal because of blindness, deafness or physical disability.   Our spoken language is English, however, with notice, we have the availability of a Spanish speaking translator when necessary.
